What was hard.
Booking a container still runs on e-mail, phone calls and spreadsheets: rates arrive as attachments, free time and cut-off rules sit in footnotes, and the bill of lading is retyped from the booking. Every handoff between shipper, agent and carrier is a place where a shipment slips.
